Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically diverse family. Madekwe is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She grew up in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned a BA in acting. At the academy, she appeared in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred as the lead character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in an extended family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball fields because her four athletic brothers all were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the spring and summer. Ashley couldn't walk, however she could dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance from that moment. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished in high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
