Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian music producer and singer. The early work of her is described as stretching beyond "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influences from electronic music hip hop, as well as rock. A lot of her songs touch on science-fiction themes as well as feminist issues. Five albums have come out. Grimes was raised in Vancouver, and then moved to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her singles in the early 2000s. There were albums out by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes, and Halfaxa in the year 2010. Later, she was signed to 4AD and became a household name with the release of its third studio album Visions which came out in the year 2012. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" as well as the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. Her fourth studio album Art Angels was released in 2015. It received high praise from critics and many magazines voted it to be the top album of the year. 6. Her fifth album, Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020. Grimes is an official judge of Alter Ego, a music contest. She was a part of the Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
